About Twelve Score Music and Mike Torr

Twelve Score Music is based in Southampton and is operated by Mike Torr. As a child, Mike learned piano, sang in the school choir, learned organ, played double bass in the County of Avon Schools Orchestra, and studied music theory.

Mike's enthusiasm for visual media began at university where he took part in the film-making club and learned some of the basics of editing and shooting. It was around this time that he was inspired (by speaking to a certain Mr. George Fenton) to write music for moving pictures.

There followed excursions into Boogie Woogie, Blues, Jazz, Funk, Progressive Rock, Salsa and Soul, as well as a career in I.T., but now his eclectic tastes and his enthusiasm for, and experience with, music place him in an excellent position to cope with the constantly shifting musical requirements of the media industry.
